Promelis Market in Newport Beach California is an efficiantly run, customer satisfying, friendy Store. Although not a "supermarket" it need not be and this I found refreshing.
The service deli and meat counter highlight this experience. They make some of the most delicious, fresh, mouthwatering sandwiches I have ever tasted and they encourage the customization of your own creation. With fresh meats like turkey, ham, roast beef, pastrami, not to mention the more exotic selection of procciuto, pancetta, and variations of turkey, ham etc. The cheeses as well are diverse in selection as with the types of bread and assorted condiments. The deli also serves up hot foods such as fresh whole chickens, tritip beef, ribs, and a variety of side dishes.
As for the meat counter, they serve and sell some of the freshes meats and seafood all around. Hats off and five stars to Promelis Market in Newport Beach. I even hear there is a second market now open in Balboa Beach.

I love this charming local market!! It is quaint and stocked with only the finest foods. Promelis is a high end store that carries hard to find items. They support the local businesses and have such a friendly and outgoing staff. It's very clean and tidy, what a great store for the neighborhood! I knew I'd come back here for picnic fixins and Promelis totally re-confirmed their awesomeness. The pepperoni and turkey panini was a really great combination of flavorful meats, veggies, and italian dressing. Also appreciate that they have a literal library of chip flavors to choose from when it comes to potato chips!
The best, and most surprising part of what I got from Promelis today was the wonderful fruit salad that was an additional 75 cents (since I ordered a sandwich). Now I usually stay away from grocery store cut fruit, but W-O-W. Did they hand-select each piece of fruit themselves? Strawberries, pineapple, grapes, blueberries, raspberries, melon & honeydew--all amazingly sweet and fresh... definitely not the tasteless, mushy "I've been sitting in a fridge for the past 6 days" vibe you get from other groceries cut fruit. Stand-out quality!!!
This market just makes you want to buy SOMETHING. Pefectly lined rows of lemons, limes, and apples beckon to me. Their grapes even free-ball it without the confines of those icky plastic wrappers. Ranier cherries look like they were individually polished. Promelis is like Trader Joe's but fancier.
